Which one is right for you?
There is no one size fits all here. We think custom is the better build most of the time, but it is the wrong answer if you want to get in and change things yourself.
WordPress
Best if you want the keys.

What it costs
Most builds start around £1,500 and are quoted properly once we know what you need.
That includes your first year of hosting and maintenance, so there is no separate bill in month one and nothing for you to sort out yourself. After the first year, hosting and maintenance carry on monthly.

Common questions
What does a website cost?
Most builds start around £1,500 and are quoted properly once we know what you actually need. That figure includes your first year of hosting and maintenance, so there is no separate bill in month one.
Can I edit the site myself?
That depends which way we build it, and it is the main thing that decides the platform. On WordPress you can edit pages yourself, not just the words. On a custom build you cannot edit it at all - there is no client login, so anything you want changed comes to us and we do it. Most clients actually prefer that, because it means nothing gets broken and it is not another job on their list. If editing it yourself matters to you, tell us early and we will build on WordPress.
How long does a build take?
Most sites take four to eight weeks from the point everything is agreed. The thing that slows builds down is almost always content and photography, so the more of that you have ready, the faster it goes.
Do I own the website?
On WordPress, yes, outright. It is yours and any developer can pick it up from day one. On a custom build the honest answer is that the design, content and domain are yours but the site runs on our platform, so you could not hand it to another agency as it stands. That is the trade for it being faster and having far less that can break. If being able to move it anywhere matters more to you than that, tell us and we will build on WordPress.
What happens after the first year?
Hosting and maintenance continue on a monthly plan. That covers hosting, SSL, updates, backups and security, and it is the thing that stops a site quietly rotting a year after launch.
Do you do eCommerce?
No. It is not what we are best at, and we would rather point you at someone who does it properly than take the work and do a mediocre job of it.
